Betsy Bangert and I spent a little time before sunset at Truitt's Landing in Worcester yesterday. Green-winged Teal numbered about 230, about 60 yellowlegs (2/3 lesser), a few hundred Dunlin, and a few Seaside Sparrows. We had a King Rail call near the road at the beginning of the marsh a few times. It was the first time I have heard one here this year.
The best bird was an immature White Ibis that lifted up out of the marsh with Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, and two dark ibis. These birds all headed in a NE direction.
