Hi All,

I had a nice day at Patterson Park today. I was there from 5 to 6:30 pm and had three first-of-the-year birds. The first was a GRAY CATBIRD at the community gardens, the second was a YELLOW WARBLER singing at the Boat Lake and the third was an EASTERN KINGBIRD chattering and flying around the playground on Eastern Avenue.

Other nice birds included many many EASTERN TOWHEES, several NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS and a large number of CHIMNEY SWIFTS, some looked like they were courting.

Good Birding!

Mike H.
