Subject: [MDBirding] Swallows on DC Potomac
I made a quick spin around Hains Pt. this (Tues., 4/23) morning. It was
still pretty quiet as far as migrants go, except for the number of swallows
on the river. While not a huge number, there was a steady stream heading
upriver. I found all 5 expected species (no martins), with Barn making up
95% off all the birds. Next most numerous was Cliff, with 5 seen, plus a
few Trees and Rough-wings, and 1 Bank.

Three female Red-breasted Mergansers and 5 Lesser Scaup continue.

Good birding,
