Unfortunately the Bahama Woodstar failed to show up after noontime yesterday (the 24th), disappointing many -- did anyone from Maryland manage to make it up to see it?
The bander said the bird was fat and happy and probably ready to move on, so keep a lookout at your feeders!! As the hummer flies, only a short zip south to Maryland.
There has not been a report of this species in the USA for over 30 years and that was in Florida, so a really really amazing record!
