Subject: [MDBirding] Cerulean Warbler at Soldier's Delight 4/25/2013
I found a Cerulean Warbler at Soldier's Delight in Baltimore County yesterday. It was with a mixed flock in the first grove of pines to the right of the overlook parking lot.

The species is very difficult to find in Baltimore County. It used to be somewhat guaranteed along the Patapsco, but I failed to find any last year. Bill Hubick confirmed my initial thought that the habitat this bird was in (pines, dry) identifies it as a migrant.

Other good birds: 1 Prairie Warbler, Palm Warblers (yellow), lots of Pine Warblers, Black-and-white Warblers, my Baltimore FOY Gray Catbird, and some very cooperative Hermit Thrushes. The trip was more than a worthy consolation prize after failing to relocate Frode's awesome Blackburnians (plural) at Milford Mill.
