I birded the Paint Branch Stream Valley Park trail from Cherry Hill Rd to the University of Maryland (it was Maryland Day at the university) -- my first time in a while. Some habitat is gone, notably nice bushes along the trail that were good for Blue Grosbeak. Today's highlights were a WORM-EATING WARBLER in young trees by the stream, just as the main forest ends while walking south, at least 30 and maybe up to 50 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS in the torn-up agriculture fields, the swamp, and the forest south of the swamp, and a 1st-winter WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW mixed with White-throats along the golf course fenceline.
