I stopped by the canal at Great Falls this afternoon for about an hour and a half of rain-free birding.
Heard and saw a Great-Crested flycatcher, heard and had good looks at three, male, Baltimore Orioles, one female Baltimore Oriole, one, male Orchard Oriole, and ( bird of the day) heard and had a really good look at a bright, male Scarlet Tanager. There was a loudly calling Yellow-throated vireo, but I couldn't find it in all leaves on the trees.
Also lots of the usual Swifts, Swallows, Eagles, Hawks, herons, Cormorants, Blackbirds, and Grackles.
