At Hains Point this afternoon there were a total of 8 breeding plumaged Common Loons, 3 in the Potomac and 5 in the channel near Fort McNair. There were perhaps 100 swallows scattered around the Point and golf course, mostly Barn, but a few Rough-winged and a couple of Tree. There were 3 Lesser Scaup in the Potomac.
