From around 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., scanning the watered impoundment above
Pennyfield Lock failed to reveal the Glossy Ibis. (Does a Green Heron
count for partial credit?) Apparently the bird hadn't been seen for
several hours.
However, I had one good sighting there -- a Yellow-billed Cuckoo that
appeared to be collecting twigs.
