On Saturday, despite the non-existent migrant activity that everyone seems to be experiencing, Matt Rogosky and I were rewarded with two BB Cuckoos in my yard. They shared a caterpillar and seemed to be quite interested in mating up with each other. This species is quite difficult to find in Howard County. A few of us had probably the same pair again early this morning and they copulated, further indicating pair bonding. Hopefully they will hang around a while. We have lots of bag worms in the area so the food supply is great.
