Hi All,

My own unusual sightings: least sandpipers where I have never seen them before this afternoon--my research plots in Beltsville (between Powder Mill and Beaverdam Roads, just east of Edmonston Rd, Beltsville, PG Co.). They were hanging around some of the newly-created puddles.

Bobolinks are also back in alfalfa fields at BARC (Beltsville Agricultural Research Center).

Hi all
Peculiarmorning at the Wheaton Branch Stormwater Ponds. Surprises to me were a Semipalmated Plover and 10 Least Sandpipers on the muddy shoreline of cell #2. Also a male Bobolink that rested briefly and sang from the top of a tree adjacent to cell #1. The shorebirds departed to the SE around 0709.
