I referred to this area as Goshen Mills Wetlands in a post last week, but recently Dave Powell called them Huntmaster Rd wetlands. I like that better so switching to his name for the place.
I had about 20 minutes to look around this afternoon before the skies opened up. There were a number of shorebirds (by Mont Co standards) in shallow pond on NE side of Huntmaster Rd including a single Short-billed Dowitcher. Also, 1 Greater and 7 Lesser Yellowlegs, 4 Solitary and 5 Least Sandpipers and a Killdeer.
Checking out some of newer ponds on SE side of road yielded 4 more Solitary, 2 Least, and a Spotted SP and a few more Killdeer.
