Wow, what a day--the weather really blew in a bunch of new birds. Even the Ceruleans are back to normal (almost). After studying photos, I'm calling the blue-winged x golden-winged I found today (at the picnic woods, edge of "chat" field where the trail goes right up into the woods) a BREWSTER's 1st Generation Male, based on Sibley. It's a close match if not exact, but there are many variations. Here's some of the description I put in eBird:

"****Rarity. Broad and bright YELLOW wing bars. The head was more blue-winged than golden-winged (yellow with black eye-line); underparts were pale yellowish. The broad bright YELLOW wing bars are definitive for a cross. The SONG was a bit odd--but mainly blue-winged. Hard to describe except to say it seemed "off." The bird was behaving differently from the 2 blue-winged warblers in the same neighborhood. It was flying more--more jumpy.... After studying hybrid photos, I would call this bird a BREWSTER'S 1st Generation Adult--using the SIBLEY pictures as a guide (although it's not a perfect match, but very close)."

Nearby, close to the little bridge, I found a non-singing Hooded Warbler, which is quite rare for Susquehanna. I had a few that I saw 3 or 4 years ago but nothing since until today.
