Subject: [MDBirding] Pine Siskins in Yard; Warblers on UMD Campus
Like many others have reported, this morning I awoke to four pine siskins visiting my backyard feeder! They're a welcome new yard species.

Also, as I was walking between classes on the University of Maryland campus this afternoon, I observed a ton of bird activity in the towering willow oaks that line McKeldin Mall: yellow-rumped warblers, a Northern parula, a black-throated green warbler, and a singing rose-breasted grosbeak (several of these being new species for my campus bird list, too.) I undoubtedly would have seen more if I'd had the time and binocs on hand. Glad things are starting to pick up!
