At 9:30 AM this morning, Friday the 10th, a large group of Bobolink were seen at Cromwell Valley Park. These birds were in the high grass fields near the barn and "apple house" where the horses were once kept on the Sherwood Farm. We estimated 100+ birds. We were treated to great views as a Red-tailled Hawk startled the Bobolink up from the grass and into trees along Minebank Run. These birds were last seen headed toward the hedgerow fields along Minebank Run.
