Battery Kemble was pretty busy this morning, especially around the earthworks. However, the most unexpected bird was a handsome adult White-crowned Sparrow, mixed in with a flock of White-throated and Song sparrows.
Warblers seen:
Cape May Northern Parula Bay-breasted Blackpoll Black and White Yellow-rumped Yellowthroat Redstart
Except for the Cape May and one of the Yellowthroats, all of these birds were females.
In addition, there were adult male Baltimore Oriole and Indigo Bunting and a pair of Broad-winged Hawks.
