Last night as we went to bed at 10 pm, we were astounded and delighted at a *chorus* of Barred Owls, some 3-4 at least, hooting both their deep hoots and the less common nasal calls, continuing this debate for 15-20 mins., sometimes joined in by opposition crows I suppose from the back benches. Quite a soundscape! This where we've never had more than 2 owls at a time, if that.
