Weather:
Mostly cloudy with threatening clouds in the morning and showers for about a half-hour in mid-morning; thunder showers ended the count in the late afternoon; 63-77 degrees; winds southwesterly 0-10 mph

Raptor Observations:
Good flight day, especially for Turkey Vultures, Broad-wings and Red-tails.

Non-raptor Observations:
Two Cliff Swallows, one Black Tern, and one Sandhill Crane in the mid-afternoon that flew northwest from south of the pond and high enough to require a scope to get a definitive ID.� Statewide May Count conducted at the Fort. Venice on the Bay, and Weinberg Park resulted in a total of 117 species.� ebird list will be posted later.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
