I got a little crazy and birded for over 12 hours today for the Laurel portion of the PG county May count. My summary eBird list is below (89 species). Some highlights:
* 3 COMMON LOONs on Rocky Gorge Reservoir
* OSPREYs jousting with COMMON RAVENs above T. Howard Duckett dam
* 4 COMMON NIGHTHAWKs over Laurel Riverfront Park
* The RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD was the last bird added to the count -- it came to our feeder in the rain
* 1 WARBLING VIREO at Laurel Riverfront Park
* 1 VEERY and 2 SWAINSON'S THRUSH at Rocky Gorge Reservoir
* 1 HOODED WARBLER singing and giving good views at the Reservoir
* One of the INDIGO BUNTINGs came to our feeders
