I just got back inside from a walk along Sligo Creek including a detour through a small park. I walked from west of Piney Branch Road to south of Park Valley Road, along dirt trails wherever possible. Highlights were male Wood Duck carefully walking along the edge of the stream bank singing Blue-headed Vireo, seen this time a Wood Thrush that stopped singing in order to bathe near the Wood Duck a Swainson's Thrush singing near an artificial rapids several Yellow-rumped Warblers a lingering White-throated Sparrow
I wonder what I missed at Rock Creek Park.
Good birding,
