Subject: [MDBirding] 4 days birding Susquehanna SP, Thurs.- Sun.
Beautiful 4 days birding Susquehann SP. Best bird was a male MOURNING WARBLER (I, among several other birders, heard it and I seen it briefly on Sat., but it was not there Sun.), CAPE MAY, CHESTNUT-SIDED, PRAIRIE, MAGNOLIA, NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH, CANADA, among others. Seems late, but a full breeding plummaged COMMON LOON was hanging around ROCK RUN. The typical breeders are back, YELLOW BREASTED CHAT, ORCHARD ORIOLE and others, some seemingly arriving later than in years past (for me, anyway). Can't wait to see what the next several days brings, and hoping the next warm front brings in some birds!
