At The Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground (restricted access), a large mixed congregation of swallows on the utility wires in great morning light gave me an excellent opportunity for species comparison. At least 175 Tree, 100 Barn, 40 No. Rough-wing, 10 Bank, and 12 Cliff, plus two Purple Martins. I'll call this a Big Gulp rather than a bunch of little swallows.
