When I bought larger bags, the last 1/3 never got eaten. I buy my thistle seed at Wild Bird Center in Darnestown, the owner gives a 10% or more discount to MOS/ANS members. Are your pine siskins still there today? I have had up to 7 each day at the thistle feeder since May 10. Still there this morning and we haven't seen pine siskin at this location since I have lived here (9 years) in Catonsville, MD near CCBC and Patapsco State Park Hilton area. What a treat! Although, the gold and house finch are "not amused".
