Still have pine siskins visiting the feeders although I've only seen and heard them in the mornings lately. I suppose they have been more morning birds anyway, but many evenings I think perhaps they are gone. I'm wondering how long they'll keep surprising me.
White-crowned sparrows have also been present.
On Sunday I saw what I think was an evening grossbeak flying from the feeder. We were sitting down to dinner and something spooked the birds. I looked up and saw it flying straight away. I blurted out something in my surprise which caused everyone else to imagine something was about to crash into the house. I won't say 100% on the ID because its been so long since I've seen one and I really need to be sure what the rear end and flight pattern of the species looks like. I suppose its possible this year. If I remember I'll try to find some images to look at to confirm or ID the proper species.
