Wow, a super day at Susky. First, thanks to Lin Just who pointed me in the right direction to get some cool birds--although I didn't get the coolest; she can tell you that herself.
The Mourning was singing a lot (behind picnic area parking), and I got around 3 excellent looks. Quite extroverted for a migrating Mourning. Wonderful that a number of people got to see it. That was my outstanding bird of the day, although I managed a Bay-Breasted (thanks to Kevin Graff), Wilson's, Blackburnians, Tennessees, Canadas, Nashville--and a wild turkey (camping area, thanks to Dennis Kirkwood who suggested I check the place out).
Probably my last time at Susky during migration height--always a sad time afterwards. Goodbye SSP until MOS conference--and then next spring.
