Subject: [MDBirding] Wild Turkeys, Rock Creek Park
Walking home from Cleveland Park just now I found two Wild Turkeys (a tom
and a hen) in Rock Creek Park. The pair was just east of Rock Creek itself,
in a small patch of woods between Klingle Rd (from which I saw them) and
Beach Dr. They definitely would have had to work to get to this spot,
squeezed between two big roads in the heart of the city. Pretty cool. I've
only seen Wild Turkey in the District once before, on the lower reaches of
I-295 near the Beltway.

Not particularly exciting this time of year, but I did hear a Blackpoll
Warbler squeaky-brake-ing overhead at the time, as well.
