Hi,

Just wanted to say I saw a wild turkey a couple of years ago while playing golf at the rock creek golf course. It was wandering across the fairway.

The pair was just east of Rock Creek itself, in a small patch of woods between Klingle Rd (from which I saw them) and Beach Dr. They definitely would have had to work to get to this spot, squeezed between two big roads in the heart of the city. Pretty cool. I've only seen Wild Turkey in the District once before, on the lower reaches of I-295 near the Beltway.
