Josh Emm and I birded Swan Harbor this evening and had a few nice birds. In the puddles between the marshy impoundment and the road, we had:
Lesser Yellowlegs - 1 Solitary Sandpiper - 1 Least Sandpiper - 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper - 1 White-rumped Sandpiper - 3 (found by Marcia Balestri yesterday) Pectoral Sandpiper - 1 Semipalmated Plover - 7
In the marshy impoundment, the Common Gallinule called a few times, but no rails. Two Glossy Ibis were hanging out as well.
As we got almost back to car at sunset, a pair of Tundra Swans flew into the impoundment and we walked back to get a few photos. One had a pretty ragged wing, so they may be hanging around.
Nice evening to be out!
