The Dunlin, joined by a Least Sandpiper were still feeding in puddles atop the seawall west of the Jefferson Memorial at 5:15 this evening. They are very close to the walkway and almost totally unafraid, so if you want to make a close up study of these birds, now is your chance. I was within 5 feet of the Least, the closest I've ever been to that species.
