Subject: [MDBirding] Hughes Hollow Sunday
A magnolia warbler was working the underbrush next to the bulletin board between the impoundments at Hughes Hollow this morning. Resident warblers included common yellowthroat, a yellow-breasted chat, and several prothonotarys. American redstart were at their usual location by the last field before the main road enters the marshy woods.

A pied-billed grebe is visiting the left impoundment.

If anyone else is feeling warbler-deprived, I highly recommend visiting Shenandoah National Park in VA. Many species that are migrant here in the suburbs nest in the Park. Yesterday I photographed 10 warbler species including Blackburnian, Canada, and cerulean. All were singing. Rose-breasted grosbeaks were also very active at Limberlost building nests.
