We have one late White-throated Sparrow still under our feeders. Also 2 young Delmarva Fox Squirrels. We have seen them here on and off, but these are the first young ones. They are eating seeds along with the other squirrels, who are mostly black colored.
We think the Purple Martins have almost filled all the available spaces in the houses and gourds, so that would put us at 35 pairs. Another new house will have to go up next year. We put up a 24 room house last year.We set up a gourd system at Adkins Arboretum and had three martins right away, but they left.
