The Yellow-crowned Night Heron was present at Piney Orchard Nature Preserve
about 3:00 p.m. today. I had it in view on the far bank the pond on the
Heron Loop. It, however, flew to parts unknown after I got off three photo
frames. I counted at two Prothonotary Warblers, one heard singing, another
quite active around a box on Wood Duck Way.
