Ran my BBS route (Wolfesville-Emmitsburg, Frederick Co.) this morning. Beautiful morning. Had 11 species of warbler, including one Cerulean, 3 Kentucky, 3 Hooded, 2 Parula and 1 Blue-winged (first for me on this route). Pleased with the 3 singing Kentucky Warblers, two were at the same stops as in two previous years. Missed Worm-eating Warbler. Nothing else out of the ordinary. Checked a few sites east of Emmitsburg for Dickcissel afterwards but came up blank, it was getting quite hot by 10am though.
Had yardbird #132 yesterday - Pileated Woodpecker, to close out the seven woodpeckers from the yard (not expecting Red-cockaded any time soon).
Cheers
Andy Wilson Frederick
