Morning all,
The Grasshopper Sparrow is back and singing his little heart out. I thought he had moved on, since as I suspected, our neighbor began his hay mowing on Wednesday evening, the same day as I first found this little guy in our meadow. The sparrow showed this morning, flying from the trees lining the hayfield into a small mulberry tree right along the edge of our meadow. He is a great songster, belting out a song that even I can hear (and I thought I had lost my ability to hear them anymore). I tried for another digi-bin photo, but not too great Attached below:
