Veery true Dan! �Paul Pisano and I had nearly a dozen (or at least it seemed like that) late June/early July last year. �They seem to be a little out of their traditional range here, but I guess the park is technically part of the Piedmont!

Glover-Archbold Park (part of Rock Creek) is a great spot for veery. There were at least 5 singing males all breeding season in 2012. Enter off reservoir rd, near Georgetown hospital and follow the trail north.� There were usually veery singing halfway up the trail at the Whitehaven Trail branch off spot
