This morning I was running late for work and so experienced some "ACTUAL DAYLIGHT". Laden with bags, lunch, and work paraphenalia, I hurriedly bumbled out the front door and immediately stopped short. There, in a bare twig stretched over my truck was a bird, bobbing it's tail. It was facing away from me and was too distant for positive ID. I moved closer and watched the bird fly higher to another bare twig, this time sitting in profile in bright morning sun (something--the sun, that is--I haven't seen yet in my yard this year until today). "Phoebe?!?" I exclaimed quietly to myself. My hectic day just got a shot of serendipity. I found myself grinning from ear-to-ear as I happily hummed in to work. Ahhhh. Bird therapy.
