Shrike MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Everyone, The Northern Shrike at Susan Sires' home on Dan's Mountain was seen again Wednesday, 1/5/00, around 11:00 by Susan and Mary Twigg. It again perched on the bluebird box before flying into the woods at the edge of the field. I arrived around 12:30 and looked for the bird until 4:00 with no luck. Neither had the bird been seen yet today when I spoke with Susan around 1:00. But, the fields are large. When she drove around today looking for it, she mentioned how quiet it seemed. No birds anywhere. That might be a good sign. Hiding, trying not to be eaten? Happy trails ....
