Two visits later in the morning, 9:45 and 11:45 again revealed the bird - but back up in the fields behind the pond so a scope was needed to see it. While I was at the site at 8:30, a flock of nearly 250 horned larks graced the skies, but never ventured low enough to be sure that anything else was present in the group. I then went on down to Cambridge to view the rafts of waterfowl along the south shore of the Choptank. I was not disappointed. The Oakley street view point was best, but ducks were abundant all along the shore. Species seen: Canvasback several thousand (including the partial albino that has been there for several years) Red Head a few Lesser Scaup American Widgeon Bufflehead Ruddy Duck Old Squaw Golden Eye Mallard Surf Scoter Tundra Swan Mute Swan Common Loon Les Roslund Lroslund@bluecrab.org Easton, MD ================================================================= To unsubscribe send a message to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ================================================================= =========================================================================
