We were surprised that the drive is only about 50 miles from the DC Beltway at Route 270. While there, we drove along the beach front, walked along the North Beach Boardwalk and out on the public piers to scan (with binoculars) the nice raft of ducks relatively close to the Bay shore. The results: Horned Grebe - 1 Snow Goose - 1 (injured wing) Canada Goose - 1 (attracted by gull & Mallard feeders) Mallards Canvasback - fair numbers Redhead - about 10 ( in most northern raft of ducks) Greater Scaup - numerous Lesser Scaup - 2 Oldsquaw - several Goldeneye - fair numbers Bufflehead - fair numbers Red-breasted Merganser - 1 Coot - a few Adult Bald Eagle - 1 Happy birding, Dan Eberly ================================================================= To unsubscribe send a message to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ==========================================================================================================================================
