Gee whiz, that means just buying Rising's sparrow book isn't enough. You actually have to read it? So today, with Rising's book in hand, I spent the AM peering out the kitchen window. At last, the snow brought in a mature & lovely adult Zonotrichia leucophrys black lores & all - nibbling millet seeds 6 feet away from me on our back porch. Who woulda' thunk it. Dot also reports that a bearded birder, looking remarkably like Jim Stasz, parked near her group on one of their day trips. Could it be?
