There are feeders that exclude blackbirds, the ones without perches (Droll Yankee big top is great- also excludes house sparrows!)and caged ones. If you want to keep a platform feeder out try using plain safflower seed. It attracts a wide variety of birds - sometimes it takes a little while for them to grow accustomed to it though. It is also an added benefit that most squirrels don't like it. Bonnie Ott p.s. Last month a yellow-headed blackbird came into a Howard County feede with some redwings. I have also had rusty blackbirds in large flocks. ================================================================= To unsubscribe send a message to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ==========================================================================================================================================
