I donated a couple, and Sally Rowe of the AA Cty chapter of MOS donated a few. 3 weeks ago I purchased some cheapo mixed seed, just to get something in the feeders. The birds laughed and didn't come to the feeders...until the big storm. Now we have, at any given time: 3-4 Fox Sparrows 1-4 Song Sparrows 5-6Juncos 1-3 Tree Sparrows 1-10 Red-winged Blackbirds (almost all female) 1 Grackle 1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker numerous White-throated Sparrows 1-3 Cardinals 1-3 Crows (!) 1 Hermit Thrush and 4-5 Bluebirds haning nearby, but not yet seen eating what I've left out. Happy snow day, kids.
