Besides the great numbers of White-throats, Song Sparrows, Juncoes and Towhees, I also found: Fox Sparrow 1 Hermit Thrush 2 American Robin 50+ Rusty Blackbird 1 (first that I have found in the Tunis Mills Area) Woodcock 1 - This bird was right out on the road around 3:00 in the afternoon. It was in a sunny area, sheltered from the wind, and the bird remained at the roadside by a snowbank as I drove past in my car - including my stopping to look at the bird when I was less than 10 feet away. I looked carefully at the bird, with my binocs, and the bird just gazed back at me, and continued to enjoy the sunlight. (Another first for me in this area, though Jan Reese has always said that Woodcock should be present in the area where this one was found.)
