Birds seen near our house: Four Pine Siskins at our thistle feeder. This is the first time we = have had siskins this year and for several years as a matter of fact. Four Bluebirds feeding on the bittersweet near our house. One Fox Sparrow "gritting" in our parking area then appearing = near our bird feeders. Haven't seen a Fox sparrow near our house for = several years. One Purple Finch and six Goldfinches Pair of Downy Woodpeckers and one Hairy woodpecker on the suet feeder. =20 Birds seen while on the road: Pair of American Kestrels in the same tree. Two Coopers Hawks in the same tree and two Red Shouldered Hawks in = trees nearby. One Red Tailed Hawk. One Sharp-shinned Hawk Total of 37 species.
