Luckily the bird was still there with a group of CANVASBACKS. Walking the neighborhood yesterday I came across a lovely HERMIT THRUSH in the bradford pear. Now back to the feeders! There are 50+ GOLDFINCH out there now and I am rechecking them every few minutes for ????. Richard Orr reported a PURPLE FINCH at his Columbia feeder yesterday so I am hoping one will show here. I did have a GREAT BLACK BACK flyover the house this morning. Didn't get that one on my yard list last year until December so I am glad to cross it off so early this year.
