An imm bird spent an entire summer behind my house hunting and came up with snakes almost every time. A bleak ice-bound day (a number of years ago) I trudged up to Centennial Park looking for an elusive goshawk. Missed it but did see an adult Red-Sh. catch a Flicker and kill it. I also rememeber there was a Catbird in the thickets near the dam holding his own in the frigid weather. Isn't it funny how memory serves us?
