The way the bins are designed, there is a nice dead space in the b= ack which can only accomodate floppy items such as suit bags or coats or something long like a folded tripod. We also put all of our optics into o= ne carryon item which is usually the one in front of the scope. That way, if they get damaged, it's our own fault. > > Good Birding! > Tyler Bell > mailto:bell@acnatsci.org > California, MD > http://www.audubon.org/chapter/md/smas/ > http://www.audubon.org/listserv/nd-birds.html > > >>> Benjamin Poscover 02/07/00 09:31AM >>> > Later this month, Ruth and I will be traveling to Port Aransas, Tex= as to attend an Elderhostel program on the Whooping Crane and attend the Whooping Crane Festival. > I want to take a spotting scope and tripod. I have not flown with = a scope and tripod before and I need suggestions as to how one might go abo= ut this. I can carry the scope in my backpac so it shouldn't present a problem. I would to hand carry the tripod if possible. My tripod is a Bogen 3211. > Many thanks for your help on this, > > Ben Poscover > Towson, Maryland > > ========================= ===============================================To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com > with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey > ========================= =============================================== > > To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com > with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey > ========================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ========================================================================= ===========================================================================
