Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" A biologist friend of mine asked me to ask Ospreyers if they know of any hotspots for large cowbird flocks. Some U. of MD grad. students are looking to procure some for the effort mentioned below (they'll use the cowbirds to test attachment methods and radar detection distances). They need info asap. If you'd like to share any cowbird hotspots in MD, or elsewhere, please reply to my email address (hmyouth@erols.com). (A wood thrush or warbler you know might thank you come spring!) Howard Youth hmyouth@erols.com Rockville, MD The message: We are looking for large flocks of brown-headed cowbirds in MD, VA, PA, WV, DE for use in a study to test the efficacy of harmonic radar as an alternative method to radio telemetry. Please notify us of the location of these flocks. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
