Park and the 121 bridge. Nice to find another Ospreyer, Andy Rabin. (I guess everyone else was out a-tufting.) Much of the reservoir remains frozen, but three or four visible spots along the fringe were packed, or relatively packed, with waterfowl. Here's what I saw: 3 pied-billed grebes about 100 Canada geese about a dozen tundra swans about a dozen hooded mergansers 30 to 40? canvasback 350 to 500? ring-necked ducks 3 drake and 2 hen redhead about 8 American wigeon 30 or so Am. black duck 20-30 mallard 6 or 7 lesser scaup a dozen or so bufflehead 35-40 ruddy ducks 50 or so Am. coots ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
