It was me you saw with starlings and the Bal-Chatri traps. We were road banding and from Bowie to St Mary's County. Along the way we banded two Red-tailed Hawks and three Red-shouldred Hawks. One of the RSHA 's was from a pair sitting in the same tree. We attempted to band both birds, but just as the second bird got to the trap, a big and loud SUV drove by and scared it off. It would have been nice to have both male and female in hand to get to see the size comparison. Hello Sue Hamilton, Thanks for the posting about peregrines. Do you know if the Peregrines under the bridge are banded or not? How long have they been nesting there?.
